Start your own family vegetable garden!

**The first 20 RSVPs will receive a FREE Salad Kit**

In this session, we will be planting seeds for a salad: Tomato, Cucumber, Carrot, and Lettuce. Time permitting, we will also plants a few sunflower seeds.

We will start the session decorating planter pots for the tomato, cucumber, lettuce and sunflower seeds. While we are decorating the pots, we will watch a few videos on planting seeds. When the video is done, we will put the potting soil in the pots.

We will also label the popsicle sticks for each individual pot, to know which seeds were planted, and where.

Additionally, we will also discuss the importance of watering, and keeping a journal record of the growth of the plants.

It is incredible to see the process go from seed to an actual vegetable and flower.

The recommended items for your kit are: planting pots, potting soil, plastic spoon, plastic table cloth, popsicle sticks, water bottle, notebook, and packs of seeds (tomato, cucumber, carrot, lettuce and sunflower).

Great for kids K through 6th Grade.

Facilitator: Debbie Parks

This project is one that you can enjoy with your family. Bon Appétit!
